As the UX team grows, we are taking a highly user-centric approach to understanding and designing for the subtle but important stages of experiencing Casai. We believe in iteration, validation, teamwork and room for experimentation. As a designer on our small (but fast growing) team, you'll be expected to wear multiple hats, pick up skills as new challenges arise, and work well with every division of our organization such as product owners, engineers, marketing, operation and more.
 
We're looking for a Product Designer who is empathetic, a strong communicator and works well in a collaborative environment. You should have a strong degree of ownership. As a Product Designer, you’ll ensure that a project's design needs are met, and you’ll work closely with other UX team members and Product managers to frame user needs and behaviour, define user flows, research needs, and polish design screens ready for launch.

The Daily

  • Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes; knowing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail, and when to make low-fi sketches, flows or prototypes.
  • Collaborate on the execution of user research to understand users’ behaviors, validate design solutions, and identify product gaps.
  • Play an active part in maturing the UX Design team culture by participating in internal initiatives, projects, and contributing to the team’s objectives.
  • Working with the UX design team on keeping a healthy balance between backlog, execution on current sprints task, and product monthly goals.
  • Working with the UX design team on maintaining and defining design system needs for our platform.
  • Design product experiences for our iOS, Android mobile apps, or Web Ability to think in terms of systems, templates, and scalability and work with other designers to improve our design system.
  • Think through how to solve complex user problems while factoring in technical constraints across hardware and software.

The Essentials

  • 2-3+ years of digital product design experience, with an emphasis on mobile UX design.
  • Portfolio available demonstrating a history of delivering quality products, your roles, and responsibilities, and the design processes applied.
  • An understanding of user-centric principles, human-computer interaction, psychology,  and usability.A talent for articulating ideas and presenting your work.
  • Fluency with industry-standard design execution tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision, others...)
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills. Spanish and Portuguese are a plus.
  • Very comfortable with speaking up, asking questions, and receiving feedback.
  • An understanding of research methods, processes, and tools.
  • An understanding of product principles, product thinking, and business.
  • Experience or willingness to collaborate, mentor and upskill other designers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Is a passionate, yet pragmatic designer. Understands and finds a balance between user needs/behaviors, business requirements, and technical constraints.
  • Can create world-class user experiences within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Can effectively pivot or adapt their design work and way of working depending on the context, time, and effort that each project may require.
  • Loves learning, and practices a full range of UX skills including journey mapping, interaction design, research, and content design. 
  • Partner with Product Managers and other designers to research, design, and prototype user experiences.
