We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join as Director of Mobile and Platform Product Marketing on the Multiproduct and Engagement team. This is an important new position that sits within the Retail Product and Technology organization and will help drive adoption and usage of products and features across Brand Expedia and the Brand Expedia Platform.

 

As the Director of Mobile and Platform Product Marketing, you will lead how we promote and sell the Expedia Group mobile apps. This includes understanding trends in mobile, our customers, positioning our products, deciding how to market the app, crafting materials for marketing partners, tracking our competitors and voice of the customer.

 

Our ideal candidate brings both innovation and product acumen, go-to-market, outbound mobile marketing expertise, as well as, strategic and analytic thought leadership to help shape product strategy.

 

It will be your job to evangelize our mobile experiences to our customers, development partners, and internal organization. You and your team will partner with cross functional teams to develop and lead marketing strategy (e.g., audience definition, value proposition/positioning), go-to-market plans, research agendas, and app marketing programs. This role will have key strategic influence in defining customer-facing offerings.

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Product strategy: Partner closely with our product team and corporate marketing to provide key inputs to strategy and growth such as market trends, customer insights, and mobile positioning

  • Go to market: Build go-to-market strategies and marketing plans for new product launches. Support the process from conception through launch. Define clear value propositions of new capabilities

  • Marketing enablement: Build compelling stories for PR, blogs, presentations (internal and external), and supplier facing collateral to drive awareness, adoption and demand of our mobile experiences

  • Developer relations: Foster and manage our relationships with key external dev partners. Vet and recommend adoption of new and emerging technologies

  • App / Play Store Programs: Build compelling App Store content, including release notes and screenshots, that drives user demand in the App Stores

 

 

Who you are:

 

  • Mobile app experience

  • 8+ years internet, ecommerce experience, international or global scope preferred

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, B2C preferred

  • Experience growing product market share and product adoption/usage through well-executed marketing and go-to-market activities

  • Experience developing strong partnerships with product management and marketing

  • Experience with executive communications and management

  • Experience in the travel industry preferred
